Description
As a Billing Manager in our client's Specialty Home Infusion Pharmacy, you will be responsible for overseeing the billing team, ensuring accurate and timely submission of claims, and optimizing reimbursement processes. This position requires strong leadership skills and expertise in specialty pharmacy home infusion billing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of billing specialists and coordinators
- Set clear goals and performance expectations for the billing team
- Provide training, mentorship, and guidance to team members to enhance their skills.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of claims to insurance companies, Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial/Managed Care Health Plans, and other payers
- Review and verify claim accuracy, including patient information, coding, and pricing
- Implement and maintain efficient billing processes to reduce denials and maximize revenue
- Identify and resolve billing and reimbursement issues promptly
- Stay up to date with healthcare billing regulations and compliance requirements
- Ensure the pharmacy's billing practices adhere to all relevant laws and regulations
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve billing-related inquiries from patients and healthcare providers
- Maintain positive relationships with insurance companies and payers
- Maintain accurate and organized billing records, including patient information, claims, and payments
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, finance, or a related field is preferred
- Proven experience in Specialty Pharmacy Home Infusion Billing, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial or supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of healthcare billing regulations, including Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance
- Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Ability to adapt to changes in healthcare billing regulations and technology
