Billing Specialist

Full Time Role
General Responsibilities:
Creates and reviews invoices and billing materials to be sent directly to client
Collaborates with clients, third party institutions, and other team members to resolve billing
inconsistencies and errors
Maintains databases, billing documents, and spreadsheets (updating information as needed)
Update client accounts based on payment or contract information
Provides consistent, professional, courteous, and high-quality customer service.
Performs research and updated recordkeeping of customer information.
Responds to inquiries and assist in resolving questions related to the customer accounts and
document accordingly.
Responsible for the timely and accurate distribution of client invoices that are sent each cycle.
Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned
Skills & Education:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational, time management, and analytical skills
Attention to detail
High level of quality, consistency, and accuracy
Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, but work in a team atmosphere
Excellent Mathematical skills
Expert level user of Microsoft Excel
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in AR billing
Technology Experience:
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel and Teams.
Experience with ERP/billing software required; Deltek Vantagepoint a big plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Teams, Zoom or similar virtual platform
