Billing Specialist - PatientCare EMS Solutions Texas

SUMMARY

Responsible for filing all primary and secondary claims to Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial, third-party payors, Managed Care payors, and private pay for proper reimbursement.  Identifies problems with billing processes and seeks to implement solutions. 

 MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 ·      File claims to various payor types.

·        Conduct and assist in problem resolution on rejected claims.

·        Perform duties in a productive/timely manner as well as maintaining accuracy in the billing process.   

·        Identify and assist in correcting productivity lags throughout the billing process.

·        Work to maximize the efficiency of the team by troubleshooting and correcting claim errors.

·         Provide proactive efforts to resolve insurance and patient billing problems.

·        Provide accurate summary of personal productivity to the department supervisor on a daily/weekly basis.

·        Demonstrate professional growth through periodic participation in continuing education/development programs.

·        Exemplify great teamwork skills, including communicating effectively and professionally with management and other team members.

·        Provide exemplary customer service to all patients. 

·        Other duties as assigned by the department supervisor.
