We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our billing team as a Billing Support Specialist.

Position Overview

The Billing Support Specialist will provide crucial support to the Billing Coordinator, ensuring smooth billing operations and accuracy in financial transactions. This role is responsible for assisting with billing procedures, maintaining accurate financial records, and supporting clients with billing-related inquiries.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing, reviewing, and sending invoices to clients and insurance companies.
• Work closely with the Billing Coordinator to ensure timely and accurate processing of payments and claims.
• Track outstanding payments and follow up on overdue accounts.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date billing records in the system.
• Reconcile discrepancies in billing and payment records.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing client and insurance company inquiries related to billing.
• Help verify client insurance details and ensure all necessary documentation is obtained for billing purposes.
• Support in generating billing reports and documentation for internal and external audits.
• Assist with data entry, filing, and administrative tasks related to the billing department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
• Previous experience in a billing, accounts receivable, or administrative support role (preferably in healthcare or behavioral health services).
• Proficiency in billing software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of insurance billing processes and Medicaid/Medicare procedures is a plus.
