Bioanalytical Scientist LC-MS/MS - Pharmaron

We are looking for a Bioanalytical Scientist to support our LC-MS/MS Bioanalysis Laboratory on a full-time basis in our Germantown, MD facility.

This is an onsite role, with limitless potential for growth. An individual will be successful in this role by carrying out laboratory-based tasks including data processing and review within stated timeframes and in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Company Policies. Contributes to the laboratory and equipment maintenance to ensure efficient operations. Maintains positive and professional working relationships with coworkers of all levels. May serve as lead scientist/PI, as sponsor's main point of contact.

Essential Functions

• Collaborates with the lead scientist in overseeing the execution of LC-MS/MS assay development, validation, and sample analysis activities.
• Responsible for training binder self-review and completion of initial and refresher trainings as required by Pharmaron ABS SOP
• Contributes to the training, monitoring, and mentoring of staff as necessary.
• Acts as responsible person for scheduling, maintenance, and calibration of laboratory equipment.
• Leads and/or participates in department-initiated process improvements, as required.
• Prepares or reviews standard operating procedures for use by the Company, as required.
• Always complies with the Laboratory Safety Policy.
• Always complies with company Standard Operating Procedures unless specifically defined and approved in the study-specific assay validation or sample analysis plan.
• Good understanding of FDA bioanalytical method validation guideline.

In addition to performing the above functions independently, the Scientist will be responsible for the following;

• Prepares data tables and reports within Laboratory Information Management Systems (Watsonâ„¢)
• Provides support in obtaining reference materials, control plasma, and project-specific consumables to meet the objectives of the study.
• Participates in data transfers, pre-clinical, and clinical data management tasks.
• Assists in responding to QA audit findings, as required.
• Responsible for onboarding activities, including initial training of new hires.
• May serve as line manager for associate bioanalytical scientists.

Qualifications:

• Experience within industry with LC-MS for at least 1 year
• PhD in relevant field with at least 0-1 year of experience, OR Master of Science in relevant field with at least 2-3 years relevant experience, OR Bachelor of Science in relevant field with at least 4 years relevant experience.
• CRO Experience
