About the Job
As a Biomedical Technician / Equipment Support Specialist – Information Systems, you will be responsible for repairing, calibrating, and performing preventative maintenance on medical equipment, while also configuring medical devices for network integration. This role includes setting up internet protocol addresses, subnetting, and upgrading security software to ensure cyber security compliance. You will be required to work closely with clinical and technical staff to maintain medical equipment and information systems in a healthcare setting.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, repairs, and calibration on medical equipment.
- Configure medical devices for network integration, including setting up IP addresses and subnetting.
- Upgrade and install security patches and other necessary software for cybersecurity.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure medical equipment is maintained and operates within safety standards.
- Maintain and troubleshoot medical information systems, including MUSE, ICU-CIS, PACS, and other networked medical systems.
- Ensure medical devices comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and cybersecurity protocols.
- Travel within the immediate location, up to 80% of the time, to support equipment and medical systems across various locations.

Qualifications
- Associate degree in applied science or equivalent military training.
- Minimum of 3 years of hospital or healthcare experience performing medical equipment maintenance, with at least 1 year of specialized experience in medical information systems and networking.
- Strong knowledge of computer virus protection software, software patches and upgrades, and cybersecurity tools.
- Competency in maintaining computer and server-based medical equipment, medical record databases, and proprietary and generic software.
- Experience with TCP/IP, HL7, networking, network security, and DICOM standards.
- Ability to troubleshoot network issues, including IP networking problems, VLAN configuration, and network security issues.
- Understanding of regulatory requirements and standards, including International Standard Organization standards.
- Familiarity with network test equipment, technical literature, schematics, and drawings.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical material.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and professional staff.
- Must provide documentation of eligibility to legally work in the United States.
- Must be able to pass client background screening for security clearance.
Salary
- $ 36.06 -$ 40.99 per hour
- $ 75,000.00 - $ 85,250.00 Annualized
