The Biostatistician will report to the Principal Biostatistician and work a hybrid schedule from our Lenexa, KS office. This individual will play a vital role in our organization by performing advanced statistical analyses on healthcare delivery, quality, and cost using datasets from leading pediatric hospitals. Partnering with multidisciplinary health services and research teams, the Biostatistician will provide analysis to identify and document variation in clinical and operational practices.
What You’ll Do
Provide ad hoc statistical analyses for hospitals to support their research endeavors with our data products
Provide leadership to and direct operation of several physician-led research groups, contributing to manuscript generation and submissions to peer-reviewed journals
Develop cohort datasets based on clinical, financial, and operational criteria established by researcher(s)
Provide support for private and government grant submissions
Assist in generating hypotheses and provide statistical analyses to support/refute research questions through the generation of tables, figures, and other statistical outputs
Develop proof of concept designs for data product enhancements, contributing to the implementation and providing ongoing support
Contribute to the overall quality of data and deliverables involving CHA data products

Required Experience:
What You’ll Bring to CHA
Master’s degree in Statistics, Biostatistics, or related field is required
Knowledge of research design and statistical analysis (e.g., t-tests, chi-square tests, multi-level regression techniques, non-parametric methods)
Minimum of 3 years in SAS Programming (Base, Graph, Macros, and Stat Required); Base SAS Certification (preferred)
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate statistical principles to audiences with varying degrees of statistical knowledge
Strong collaboration skills to engage effectively with physician-researchers
Minimum of 5 years in Business or Health Care Research (preferred)
