About the Job
- The number one priority of the Manager is to follow all safety procedures and ensure the people she/he is responsible for do the same. Common items relating to this will be:
- Frequently auditing Team Members’ activities.
- Ensure all PPE is issued and is being properly worn.
- Actively participate in Safety Training and audits.
- Participate in the creation of Job Rotation Programs and Job Hazard Analysis for each position.
- Lead and supervise all blending/dispense personnel in functional areas constantly raising the standard of performance. Establish and enhance education and development programs for employees within the departments including SOP’s, quality specifications, safety, and job expectations.
- Responsible for annual continuous improvement initiatives in the blending and dispense departments to increase throughput per labor hour.
- Coordinate activities within the blending, dispense, and other departments to ensure production meets all defined scheduling goals and quality requirements.
- Validate raw material during receiving to ensure correct materials have been received for the formula.
- Ensure all material specified for a work order is accurately weighed, validated, and recorded on the proper forms. Ensure all paperwork within the departments meet regulatory requirements.
- Implement and enforce safety and regulatory programs to ensure long term safe operation of the facility.
- Responsible for communicating and achieving performance goals and KPI’s of the blending and dispense teams.
- Ensure inventory accuracy and timely completion of all shift reports including Inventory levels as the plants KPI matrix. Coordinate all record keeping with the Plant Manager such as production, quality assurance, inventory control, production planning and administrative personnel.
- Responsible for nightly blending/dispense reporting. This includes Red Zone. Responsible for ensuring escalation procedure is followed on night shifts and issues are accurately documented and corrected.
- Team-up with Plant Manager with the continual evaluation of blending/dispense and efficiency records to improve equipment capabilities and outputs.
- Help develop the weekly and/or monthly blending/dispense labor schedule and employee staffing in accordance with business needs.
- Maintain and improve all plant housekeeping programs. Responsible for always keeping the blending/dispense/warehouse areas clean and orderly.
- Coordinate and schedule equipment repairs (using Maintain X) with the Maintenance department as necessary and coordinate preventative maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with all company, state and federal safety and regulatory policies and practices.
- Assist with period-end and year-end balancing of inventories.
