We're seeking future team members for our Finance Team with roles located in New York, NY in hybrid positions.  

Summer Internship Program  

The BNY Summer Internship Program provides high-potential students with a well-rounded, rewarding 10-week internship experience, as well as an inside look into what it is like to work for a global financial services organization that has been innovating and serving clients since 1784.  With projects specifically chosen to both challenge and develop participants, our summer interns will gain valuable real-world experiences while learning to work together in collaborative teams and building a robust network within BNY.  

From day one, summer interns are immersed in BNY's innovative and dynamic company culture as they will receive:    

• Enterprise-led intern orientation program combined with ongoing an executive speaker series and virtual training curriculum designed specifically for summer interns  

• Meaningful and challenging work assignments that deliver learning and skill development through practical work, mentorship, and training  

• Career development and networking support from a host of corporate leaders including internship managers, senior and peer mentors, business stakeholders and a dedicated program manager  

• Exposure to different areas of business throughout the organization 

• Comprehensive professional etiquette and financial services fundamentals training, along with technical and business acumen development

• A collaborative and supportive community with full commitment of top-level management to deliver a premier internship/talent pipeline program within the financial services industry    

Corporate Finance  

Corporate Finance Summer interns work on projects specifically chosen to both challenge and develop participants. They will gain valuable real-world experiences working in a select Corporate Finance function. Corporate Finance rotations may focus on financial analysis, modelling, compliance, project management, or analytics. Participating functions are not client facing and include: 

• Controllers  

• Corporate Tax 

• Corporate Treasury 

• Investor Relations 

• Financial Management & Analysis 

• Line of Business Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Teams 

Program Eligibility  

• Enrollment in a 4-year undergraduate degree program with a strong focus on business-related and/or technology-related majors preferred, ideally in Accounting, Finance or Economics. 

• Individuals who will be graduating in December 2025 through June 2026 

• Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better 

• Well-rounded experience including demonstrated leadership skills 

• Strong excel skills including v-lookups and pivot tables 

• Excellent written and oral communication skills 

• Not require sponsorship for employment visa status (now or in the future) in the region where they apply.

Finance helps our internal clients outperform over time. At BNY Mellon, Finance serves our internal clients by providing world-class accounting operations and control and decision support while instituting world-class change management Global Procurement is responsible for establishing the programs to acquire products and services for BNY Mellon by employing deep category knowledge and commodity expertise, coupled with an understanding of the needs of our businesses and business partner groups. The Corporate Treasury group is responsible for managing the investment portfolios and the liquidity and capital positions of the various subsidiary banks and of BNY Mellon.
