Requirements:
- BCBA certification
- Valid RI Behavior Analyst License
- Minimum of a master's degree in behavior analysis, education, or psychology from an accredited institution
- CPI training or willing to be trained
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate the development of behavior intervention plans and instructional programs for students in both general education and specialized settings.
- Design and supervise the implementation of behavioral programs, including data analysis, curriculum modifications, and instructional strategies.
- Work with IEP team members to develop goals, interpret assessment data, guide evaluations, and provide expert input.
- Conduct training sessions for teachers, teacher assistants, and support staff in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and other behavior-based methodologies.
- Serve as a member of the school district's CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) team and become a certified CPI instructor.
- Ensure continuity of services during the extended school year by collaborating with teachers and overseeing program implementation.
- Supervise data collection, monitor student progress, and use assessment tools to adjust interventions as needed.
- Act as a liaison between the evaluation team, parents, and teachers, providing updates and recommendations for student behavior plans.
- Travel to various school sites, maintain regular contact with classroom teachers, and provide ongoing guidance.
- Other duties as assigned by the administration.
