Body Shop Parts Counterperson
Fulltime: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Mon – Fri
Pay rate: $15 - $17 per hour, depending on experience.
Location: 111 Bluegrass Dr. Norwalk, OH 44857

Summary:
The Body Shop Parts Counterperson plays a critical role in maintaining the efficient operation of the body shop by managing parts inventory, processing orders, and supporting both internal and external customers. This position requires a detail-oriented person who can handle a variety of tasks, from answering customer inquiries to ensuring parts are correctly stocked and accounted for. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, a customer-centric approach, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
What you will do:
- Answer phone calls promptly and courteously to assist customers and support their experience.
- Pull and fill orders, ensuring all parts are tagged with customer names and job numbers.
- Notify the Parts Manager about out-of-stock materials needing immediate attention.
- Inform estimators when special-ordered parts have been received.
- Set up orders for dispatches and delivery.
- Replenish assigned inventory daily to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Scan and maintain orderly records of all invoices and special-order parts.
- Match new parts with old parts to ensure accurate replacement.
- Maintain a clean and well-organized warehouse to provide a safe and efficient work.
- Keep the counter areas clean and uncluttered to ensure efficient workspace.
- Clean computer terminals and printers daily to maintain equipment functionality and cleanliness.
- Participate in available training programs to stay current on new products and updates.
- Always maintain a professional appearance to represent the company professionally.
- Assist with parts deliveries as needed to support the team.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the body shop manager to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
What you will need:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- One to three months of related experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Strong communication skills to effectively present information.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding how to carry out simple instructions and handle situations.
- Proficient in using industry-specific operating systems and parts software.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Customer-focused with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and sit as required.
- Manual dexterity to handle parts and tools.
- Must have a current active state issued driver’s license.

We are eight dealerships servicing the Sandusky, Vermilion, Norwalk, and two in Wooster.
Pay Range:USD $15.00 - USD $17.00 /Yr.
