About the Job
Our client in Ada, MI is seeking a CMD Boiler Mechanic to join their team. As a Boiler Mechanic, you will be responsible for 24/7 boiler system operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
This is a 1st shift position that will require employees to be available Monday through Saturday with the department determining which days will comprise the 40 hour work week based upon scheduling demands.
Job Title: Boiler Mechanic
Location: Ada, MI
Pay Range: $35+/hr depending on experience
What's the Job?
- Responsible for all aspects of safe and efficient operation of all complex and offsite boiler systems
- Identifies, analyzes, plans, and completes all preventive maintenance, repair, installation, and adjustments associated with steam generation systems and related safety devices
- Responsible for maintaining the feed water and condensate return to the proper chemistry
- Ensures daily work requests and projects are completed through individual or cooperative efforts
- Responsible for legal compliance with Federal, State, and Local codes and departmental policies/standards
- Occasionally assist HVAC mechanics with refrigeration, air conditioning, and other related equipment on an emergancy basis.
What's Needed?
- Associate Degree - HVAC degree or certificate
- Boiler Operators License, State of Michigan Mechanical Contractor’s License
- More than 3 years of experience
- Must have a valid State of Michigan driver’s license and be able to operate fork-trucks and Sky-Trak
