Aston Carter is Partnering with a local non-profit to find a bookkeeper to add to their team in Spokane. This individual will be responsible for, but not limited to the following qualifications. - Perform payroll functions in an accurate and timely manner, and submit payroll taxes. - Annual reporting including W-2's, 1099's, ID Form 967 -Annual - Withholding Report, and Form 940- Employer's Annual Federal - Unemployment (FUTA) Tax Return. - Monthly reconciliations of bank and general ledger accounts, and other reconciliations on an as-needed basis. - Monthly grant billing to public and private sources, maintain grant files, and track spending by budget category. - Process rental payments, security deposits, and program fees. - Process in-kind donations, volunteer hours, & assign monetary values to items donated. - Prepare financial reports through collection, analysis, and summarization of data. - Weekly accounts receivable & accounts payable processing. - Quarterly preparation, filing, and payment of excise taxes. - Assist with annual audit preparation. - Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work to ensure compliance with applicable standards. - Within the context of the stated principal job duties, and consistent with fundraising and marketing efforts, serve as an ambassador and perform other duties as directed or as required.
