Bookkeeper - Accounting Assistant - Adam Hodson, CPA, INC

This position earns a competitive pay range of $19 - $20 per hour (and up to $25/hour for candidates with accounting knowledge). We also offer great benefits including:

OUR TYPICAL WORK SCHEDULE FOR THIS POSITION:

From January 1st through April 15th, you'll be working 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

From April 16th to December 31st, the schedule shifts to 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Thursday, and 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM on Fridays.

A DAY IN THE LIFE AS A BOOKKEEPER - ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT:

As a Bookkeeper - Accounting Assistant at Adam Hodson CPA, your day revolves around precision and financial finesse. You'll find yourself immersed in the world of numbers, QuickBooks, and meticulous record-keeping. You'll be the cornerstone of our financial stability as you diligently enter transactions, reconcile accounts, and scrutinize financial statements for errors or mispostings. Your contributions extend beyond data; you'll also assist in preparing journal entries, handle payroll processing, and even assist with the preparation of Form 1099s and tax documents.

You'll work closely with our CPA, collaborating on account analysis and other technical accounting tasks. Your strong attention to detail and 10-key typing skills will be the bedrock of our accurate data entry.

WHAT IT TAKES TO BE SUCCESSFUL AS A BOOKKEEPER - ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT:

• 1+ years of QuickBooks experience, including bank and credit card reconciliations
• 1+ years of bookkeeping experience, including preparing journal entries
• Great attention to detail
• Proficiency in Excel

Preferred qualifications include:

• Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to follow up with multiple clients
• Prior experience in preparing 1099s
• Strong verbal and writing skills
