About the Job
Fully remote, part time Bookkeeper position.
15-20 hours per month with 60% of those hours occurring during the first five working days of the month.
Must be able to work EST hours
Key Responsibilities
- Record Transactions from bank into QuickBooks and properly categorize:
- Manage Accounts Payable and Receivables: Ensure timely payment of invoices and collection of outstanding receivables.
- Reconcile Bank Statements: Regularly compare and reconcile bank statements with the company's financial records to identify discrepancies.
- Assist with Payroll: Process payroll, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time, including managing deductions and benefits.
- Tax Preparation: Prepare necessary documentation for tax returns and assist in compliance with tax regulations.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Invoice Management: Generate, send, and follow up on invoices to clients and customers.
- Bank Reconciliation: Conduct daily or weekly bank reconciliations to ensure records align with bank statements.
- Expense Tracking: Record and categorize business expenses to maintain accurate financial records.
- Data Entry: Update client and vendor records as needed, ensuring all information is current.
- Communication: Communicate with vendors and clients regarding payment terms, invoices, and any discrepancies.
Preferred Experience and Attributes
- QuickBooks PRO experience ( Required)
- QuickBooks Invoicing experience ( Preferred)
- Payroll experience ( Preferred)
- Proficiency in EXCEL (spreadsheets, formulas)
- Excellent communication skills (Required)
