Position: Bookkeeper/Business Office Manager
The Villages of St. Peters is looking for a Bookkeeper/Business Office Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2 years prior experience in bookkeeping, proficiency in writing and mathematical skills, knowledge of bookkeeping fundamentals, including accounts payable, payroll and general ledgers is a plus. Candidates must possess good communications and analytical skills with attention to detail; be able to work accurately and effectively with pressures of report schedules and customer inquiries; be well organized, reliable, persistent and work as a team player.

The Villages of St. Peters is looking for a Bookkeeper/Business Office Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 2 years prior experience in bookkeeping, proficiency in writing and mathematical skills, knowledge of bookkeeping fundamentals, including accounts payable, payroll and general ledgers is a plus. Candidates must possess good communications and analytical skills with attention to detail; be able to work accurately and effectively with pressures of report schedules and customer inquiries; be well organized, reliable, persistent and work as a team player.
Position Highlights:
- Process bi-weekly Payroll, entering timeclock adjustments and other personnel action in a timely fashion after proper authorization
- Maintain all personnel and payroll reports and records in an organized and confidential manner
- Run background checks and enter new hire information in to UKG system
- Complete employment verification, unemployment, garnishment, and worker's compensation paperwork according to company policy
- Determine that all disbursements have proper authorization, receiving and documentation
- Classify and record all disbursements for entry to general ledger
- Assist administrator to ensure timely payments which maximize cash management
- Maintain accurate checkbook balance including reconciling book to bank balance at least monthly and report weekly cash transactions
- Classify and record all expenses of operations in the period incurred by the accrual method
- Maintain current aging of accounts payable
- Complete month end process by established deadlines
- Oversee front office team, training as needed and creating schedule

Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred
- Microsoft Office skill set mid-level fluent knowledge of Excel
- Possess good communication and analytical skills with particular ability to pay attention to details.
- Proficiency in writing and mathematical skills.
- Must have 2 years prior bookkeeping experience
