Position Summary
The Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA) is seeking an experienced bookkeeper. This is a full-time position located in Reynoldsburg, Ohio with the opportunity to work remote. This position works under the direction of CAMA International Financial Accountant (IFA) and is responsible for providing bookkeeping for multiple fields and teams.. In the performance of these duties, this position will support the overall mission of the C&MA as described below.
Specific Duties
- In accordance with an established system, maintains a complete set of records to show financial transactions of the team
- Provides bookkeeping for multiple fields and teams including report collection, data entry, Cash Sheet/Reimbursement Report processing, reconciling, reporting, and maintaining field records within established timeframes, meeting deadlines
- Examines and verifies data, distributes and records to proper accounts
- Maintains cash/bank/advance accounts, journals, and ledgers; prepares bank wires, disbursement vouchers, bank reconciliations, etc.
- Prepares Pcard reconciliations, check/EFT/wire transfers
- Traces and adjusts errors, takes trial balance at prescribed periods and prepares schedules for annual audit
- Maintains vehicle records, receipts, teams’ fixed assets listings, etc.
- Works proactively with IWs and CAMA IFA as needed to maintain the books in good condition to avoid potential financial problems
- Advises and consults with regional developers (RDs) and team leaders (TLs) on matters of financial concern and assists the RDs and TLs with cash management, management of team assets, and assists with financial inquiries
- Serves as a resource during budget preparation
- Is available during preparation for audits and during audits to provide requested information and answer questions
- Maintains and files records pertaining to the function
- Is flexible to the rapidly changing needs of the National Office and the region to handle tasks that may be added

Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- 1–2 years of college preferred usually in a specialized area, such as bookkeeping or accounting.
- Requires 3–5 years of experience in a similar job to develop efficiency or to obtain some background of helpful precedents and principles
