We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Bookkeeper to join our thriving finance team. This is a part-time, temporary position that offers a unique opportunity to contribute to our exciting and fast-paced organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in billing, collections, and must be bilingual in English and Spanish. This role requires a minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage all aspects of day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting processes including but not limited to: A/P, A/R, payroll, journal entries, and bank reconciliation.
2. Conduct billing and collections activities, ensuring all invoices are sent out on time and payments are collected promptly.
3. Apply a thorough understanding of financial concepts and practices to carry out responsibilities.
4. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports.
5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date filing systems.
6. Work closely with the finance team to improve financial procedures.
7. Liaise with external auditors and manage internal controls.
8. Provide support to the Finance Director as needed.
9. Assist in the preparation and coordination of the audit process.
10. Provide excellent customer service to clients and vendors, addressing any issues or discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications:
1. 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
2. Fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
3. Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
4. Extensive experience with data entry, record keeping and computer operation.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and QuickBooks.
6. Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and multitask.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
