Bookkeeper - Steel-Con

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions and records specific to manufacturing operations, including inventory tracking, job costing, and production expenses. The role requires the ability to ensure accuracy in the financial reporting process.

Responsibilities

• Record and maintain accurate records of daily financial transactions.
• Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and other financial transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
• Assist management with the general ledger and reconcile all accounts to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
• Track and record inventory transactions.
• Reconcile and analyze inventory discrepancies and variances.
• Input daily production paperwork and subcontracts into the system.
• Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, particularly around inventory and cost accounting.
• Manage office supplies.

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and inventory management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Sage.
• Familiarity with production processes and cost accounting.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities/deadlines.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
