About the Job
Overview:
An established construction company headquartered in Spokane, WA is looking for an experienced bookkeeper/accountant to join the organization. This is a hands-on position primarily focused on accounts payable, bank reconciliation, job costing, general accounting functions, , and other administrative duties. This is a sister company to Northwest X Southern Hospitality.
Responsibilities:
Process and manage accounts payable transactions
Verify and reconcile vendor invoices, ensuring timely and accurate payments
Manage and coordinate property tax and payroll tax payments and filings
Conduct regular bank and account reconciliations
Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial records
Perform month-end and year-end closing procedures
Communicate financial information effectively to management
Assist in other corporate accounting and administrative duties as needed

Required Skills and Experience:
Proven experience as a bookkeeper or accountant with 5+ years of experience
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
Experience in hospitality/construction/property management preferred
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Ability to handle confidential information with sensitivity and integrity
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
