About the Job
Job Title: Bookkeeper
Location: Elkhart (100% onsite)
Key Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable (AP): Process vendor invoices, reconcile accounts, and ensure timely payments.
- Accounts Receivable (AR): Generate and send invoices, track payments, and handle collections.
- Journal Entries: Prepare and post journal entries to ensure accurate financial records.
- Payroll Processing: Manage payroll for all small group of employees, including calculating hours, handling deductions, and ensuring compliance with tax requirements.
- Bank Reconciliations: Perform regular reconciliations to ensure accuracy in financial records.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and yearly closings.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, Accountant, or in a similar role.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms.
- Construction experience is a plus!
- Strong understanding of payroll, AP, AR, and general ledger processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
