Production Worker / Office Clerk

Salary: $18.00

Shift: M-F, 7a - 3:30p, OT as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Production Worker / Shavings Baler Operator Responsibilities:

• Assist and operate various packaging equipment
• Work in close proximity of machines that compress wood by-products generated from mill operations or like manufacturing processes
• Open compression chamber doors, facilitates placement of bags and removal of bales from packaging equipment
• Record bales weights and keep records of daily activity per company standards
• Perform routine maintenance on packaging equipment
• Requires ability to learn and preform standard setups, adjustments, routine maintenance and operating characteristics of all packaging equipment
• Forklift certified or able to obtain forklift certification to perform basic forklift duties time to time required by the company
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems

Office Clerk Responsibilities:

Purchase Order Receipts

• Receipt Non-Stock supplies
• Receipt Raw material (Sawdust)
• Receipt Packaging Material

Human Resources Coordination

• Work with senior HR staff on all initiatives including but not limited to: Onsite HR support, New Employee Onboarding support, Payroll support, Timeclock support, general HR recordkeeping, onsite benefits coordination

Daily Reporting

• Review daily bagging reports and update finished goods inventory (Build assemblies)

Month End Close

• Support the finance department on all month end close procedures including but not limited to physical inventory, AP Invoice management.

Shipping

• Printing BOLs/Picking slips
• Reconciling BOLs and doing ship all function in Sage
• Communicating BOLs with AR Dept. for invoicing
• Signing trucks in and out of the plant for outgoing shipments.

Other Administrative Support

• Provide support to PM and safety program
• Update daily reports as assigned
• Postal mail and daily package distribution

Production Worker / Office Clerk Qualifications/Education:

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior forklift and production line experience preferred. Will need to pass the company forklift training.
• Will require good eye, hand, and foot coordination.
• Above average skills in communication both oral and written
• Above average skills in organization and attention to detail
• Demonstrates ability to work as a teamwork and effectively manage through others
• Demonstrates the ability to work under pressure and multi-task
• Previous experience in manufacturing office preferred Required to read and interpret scales.
• Requires mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to adjust the weight and timing of baler and various other simple maintenance problems.
• Requires the ability to do simple math calculations.
