Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Entry-Level Bookkeeper to support the financial operations of multiple businesses owned by one company, Lean Shared Services, LLC. This position is responsible for accurately recording and tracking financial transactions across different entities, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and maintaining organized records. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain experience with multi-entity accounting.
Essential Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Multi-Entity Transaction Recording: Accurately enter financial transactions for multiple businesses into distinct general ledgers, while keeping inter-company transactions clear and organized.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable Management: Process invoices, track accounts payable and receivable for each business, and ensure timely payments while identifying the appropriate business entity for each transaction.
- Inter-Company Allocations: Assist in tracking and recording expenses and revenues shared across businesses, including processing inter-company charges or loans as needed.
- Financial Reporting per Entity: Support in preparing entity-specific financial reports (e.g., income statements and balance sheets) and consolidating data when needed for a comprehensive view.
- Compliance Support: Assist in tracking and meeting local and federal regulatory requirements for each business, ensuring the owner’s portfolio remains compliant with relevant financial, tax, and reporting standards.
- Record Maintenance for Multiple Businesses: Maintain organized records for each entity, ensuring that documentation is clear, accessible, and meets Nevada and Arizona specific requirements for multi-entity businesses.
- Administrative Support: Provide general support across multiple business entities, including filing and tracking important financial documents and deadlines.
Minimum Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED required; coursework in accounting or finance is a plus.
- Experience: 1+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience preferred, with a willingness to learn multi-entity accounting.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with basic accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and ability to manage separate general ledgers for each entity.
- Attention to Detail: Strong accuracy in tracking transactions for different businesses, with an ability to manage complex records.
- Communication Skills: Clear written and verbal communication for coordinating with the owner and external vendors across different businesses.
- Ability to work independently and self-motivated
PAY
$16 - $19 per hour depending on experience.
