Job Details
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow all safety procedures and work as safe as possible at all times.
Maintain Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s).
Follow all safety procedures
Never jeopardize the quality of the product.
Operates Fillers, cappers, and other equipment in the normal course of completing duties.
Assist mechanics in troubleshooting.
Check codes as required, in a timely manner.
Perform quality checks.
Check fluid levels on the fillers and fill and maintain.
Perform packaging integrity checks.
Take corrective actions when necessary.
Maintain operator’s log and other paper work.
Perform package and flavor changes (changeovers).
Interact with and assist mechanics during machine changeovers.
Keep equipment and area clean.
Performs CIPs (Clean in Place) on various processing equipment.
Perform cleaning tasks during the shift, at the end of the shift and at shutdowns.
Work within a team concept.
Follow instructions from supervision (regarding policies, procedures and all changes that may occur).
Follow oral and written instructions.
Adhere to Company’s work rules.
Train associates as required.
Retort, canning experience a plus
General
Maintain a positive work atmosphere and interaction with customers, co-workers, and management.
All other duties as assigned. Work scheduled shift, weekends, and extended hours as required.
Regular and punctual attendance.

Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required;
Minimum 1 year related experience;
Or, equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: English is required, and the ability to speak Spanish is desirable.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

The employee must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The employee is required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as operate production machines where the seeing job is at or within arm’s reach.
