Position Summary:The Box Office Manager will control ticket inventories and oversee the processing of orders and payments. Utilizing ticketing software, he/she will create ticketing for events and financial reports; manage and participate in the development and administration of an annual budget. The Box Office Manager is responsible for the selection, training, motivation and evaluation of all Box Office part-time personnel, and the management of all aspects of customer service related to internal and external customers. The ideal candidate will have experience in ticketing, staff management, and customer service.
This role will pay a salary of $44,000 to $50,000.

About the Venue:The Macon Centreplex is comprised of the Macon Coliseum, Macon City Auditorium, and Macon Amphitheater. The Macon Coliseum is home to tenant hockey team, the Macon Mayhem, and sits 9,000 patrons. Family shows, concerts, trade shows, GHSA, among others, are frequent entertainment in the venue. The Macon City Auditorium first opened in 1925 and has hosted iconic greats like Otis Redding, The Allman Brothers, and Little Richard. The venue hosts concerts, weddings, private galas, comedy shows, among other events, in its 2,500 seat space. The Amphitheater hosts concerts, comedy shows, community events, and more with a capacity of 10,000.
Responsibilities:- Assist and support box office staff as needed
- Build events in the ticketing system, including seating manifests, price tables, hold/kills, discounts, pre-sales, etc.
- Oversee financial reconciliation in regards to daily reports, monthly reports and event settlement
- Manage all information being sent and posted through ticketing system
- Act as systems administrator for ticketing system and liaison between staff, promoters, presenters, and the facility
- Responsible for system upgrades, occasional testing of new software and routine maintenance and trouble-shooting
- Prepare ticketing reports for and work with tenants on system training and ticketing services
- Facilitate proper inter-departmental communications and organization
- Investigate and resolve ticket-related issues
- Responsible for financial settlement and accountability of revenues collected from ticket sales and ancillary income
- Complete and distribute accurate daily ticket counts
- Oversee will call for all ticketed events, ensuring compliance to all relevant ticket laws
- Manage all aspects of customer service as it relates to both internal and external customers, enforcing OVG corporate initiatives
- Plan, direct, and evaluate Box Office part-time personnel
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal/external customers
- Analyze challenges, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations in support of organizational objectives
- Exercise confidentiality handling customer personal/financial information
- A four (4) year degree in business administration, sport management or related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of box office/ticketing related experience including supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of Ticketmaster
- Ability to provide leadership, engage in positive interaction with staff and guests
- Skill and working knowledge of computerized ticketing operations and office software (Ticketmaster Host system, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to work flexible and extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, in addition to normal business hours.
