Looking for 1st and 2nd shifts.
Position Summary:
Examine blueprints or plans for forming products (metal) on a per-job basis, as well as checking that the machine is set up properly, working well, and producing quality parts.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Operation of Accupress and Cincinnati Brake presses
- Tooling set up and removal
- Use precision measuring tools to ensure part production meets specifications
- Inspect and measure parts as required to maintain quality records
- Maintain accurate parts count
- Attach labels and finished good tags to completed shop forms
- Communicate with co-workers/supervisor/s to receive and coordinate job activities
- Ensure on a daily basis that the work area is clean and orderly, including machine, tooling, and work station
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED preferred
1 year of experience operating brake press (prefer Accupress or Cincinnati background)
Knowledge of different brake press tooling
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge: Knowledge of inventory management & control; Knowledge of quality control, cost reduction, materials and productions processes, machine and tools; • Knowledge of lean manufacturing.
Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills; Good computer skills.
Abilities: Ability to read blueprints and to use basic measuring tools and gauges. Ability to set up/tool removal with minimal to no assistance. Ability to accurately prepare documents, production sheets and other reports and related paperwork as required by our procedures; Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquires or complaints; Ability to bring assignments to a successful completion; Ability to apply principles of logical thinking of a wide range of practical problems; Ability to work independently and make independent decisions.

Work might entail significant time spent standing, exposure to extreme temperatures, enduring distracting/uncomfortable sounds and noise levels, as well as exposure to potentially hazardous conditions and equipment. Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Employee may be required to climb stairs as needed to access various areas of the building. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus. Overtime may be necessary as work load’s dictate. This may include weekdays, weekends and/or holidays.
