Overview:

Horan Hiring Solutions is seeking a skilled Brake Press Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating press brakes, reading blueprints, and following safety protocols. This position is crucial in producing high-quality metal components for various industries.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form metal sheets according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and other technical documents to determine bending requirements.
• Select and install appropriate tooling for various bending operations.
• Adjust machine settings and controls to achieve desired bend angles and tolerances.
• Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure product quality.
• Inspect finished parts for defects and conformance to specifications.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
• Perform routine maintenance on press brake equipment.
• Collaborate with other team members to meet production goals.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a brake press operator in a job shop environment.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately.
• Knowledge of metal properties and bending techniques.
• Proficiency in using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
• Ability to lift heavy materials.
• Strong work ethic and team player attitude.
