(T&M) has been one of the largest distributors of natural stone slab and tile, quartz surfacing, and manufacturer of poured-in-place terrazzo and resinous flooring. We are seeking a Branch Manager to lead our Michigan Showroom and Warehouse. The primary responsibility involves overseeing the branch's activities and day-to-day operations. The manager is responsible for effective operations, supporting all branch functions, and delivering positive customer service. The manager also ensures that all department policies and procedures are followed.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Plans, organizes, and directs the production, administrative, and branch activities to meet or exceed established production goals cost-effectively.
· Designs, develops and implements processes that increase yield and improve overall service.
· Performs workflow analysis and develops methods for the branch.
· Coordinates with managers and supervisors to establish production and quality control standards.
· Coordinates with co-workers to resolve all operational customer complaints.
· Develops, implements, and maintains processes, procedures, and programs to improve the operation's safety, productivity, and profitability.
· Implements and maintains DOT/OSHA and company programs and standards.
· Ensures that employees and managers have the required safety training and consistently work safely; develops and implements safety programs to reduce accidents and injuries.
· Coordinates with managers to address organizational needs, equipment utilization, and maintenance.
· Provides leadership, communication, and coaching to employees; cultivates a motivated employee environment of trust, teamwork, accountability, self-confidence, and business ownership.
· Ensures that operational supplies are on hand and available at all times.
· Ensures that branch operations comply with federal, state, local, and company policies and regulations.
· Prepares all required reports and correspondence.
· Develops, implements, and monitors department budget; manages expenses within approved budget constraints.
· Identifies, documents, and implements opportunities for continuous improvement.
· Keeps up to date on the overall activities of the team, identifying problem areas and taking corrective actions.
· Helps warehouse staff move material and utilize a crane or forklift to show material to customers.
· Coordinates with the sales team to encourage synergy between the inside and outside staff.
Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS:
· A bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in a related field or equivalent is preferred.
· Two to four years related experience or equivalent.
· Demonstrated proficiency in supervising and motivating subordinates
· Commitment to excellence and high standards
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
· Ability to manage priorities and workflow
· Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
· Proficient in Contact management software, inventory, order processing, and payroll systems.
