The Residential HVAC, Plumbing, and Electric Branch Manager is responsible for the overall operations of a designated branch within a residential service company. This role requires a strong combination of technical expertise, leadership, and business acumen to ensure efficient and profitable branch operations while delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Branch Operations:
- Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, dispatching, and quality control of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services.
- Manage branch staff, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve branch efficiency and productivity.
- Monitor and control branch expenses to ensure profitability.
- Customer Service:
- Ensure that all customers receive exceptional service, from initial contact to project completion.
- Resolve customer complaints and disputes in a timely and satisfactory manner.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers.
- Sales:
- Develop and implement sales strategies to increase market share and revenue.
- Supervise sales team, providing training and support.
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with customers.
- Technical Expertise:
- Possess a strong understanding of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems and codes.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and technologies.
- Provide technical guidance and support to technicians.
- Financial Management:
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, including profit and loss statements and budgets.
- Manage branch finances, including cash flow and inventory control.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in the residential HVAC, plumbing, and electrical industry, with at least 2 years in a management role.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Proven track record of success in sales and customer service.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
