Job Summary:
Responsible for providing a variety of paying and receiving functions for members in person, including processing deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, cashier's checks, and cash advances. Balances each day's transactions and verifies cash totals. Answers members questions regarding OURCU services provided and performs a variety of account maintenance duties. Actively cross-sells OURCU products and services. Performs specific assigned side-jobs and assists other member service representatives with a variety of duties as required. Performs most complex MSR functions as needed.
- Assumes responsibility for the efficient, effective and accurate performance of teller functions. Processes cash advances, cashier's checks, and other similar transactions. Disburses cash or check share withdrawals, processes transfer, receives and processes payroll deduction starts, stops, and increases. Processes assigned cash transactions and balances at the end of the day. Verifies transactions. Monitors deposit amounts and examines documents for endorsement and negotiability. Detects and resolves discrepancies promptly. Cross-sells OURCU products and services. Assists with a wide variety of customer services including the opening/closing of shared certificates, maintains safe deposit boxes, assist customers with checkbooks, process credit card/loan applications for customers, manages outgoing wires, solves fraud issues, notary and close accounts, etc.
- Ensures that member requests and questions are promptly resolved. Provides information that members may authorize concerning their account status. Processes changes to existing accounts. Receives and processes changes of names, addresses, and other account information as needed. Takes stop payment on share drafts as needed. Proficient in balancing the ATM, in all opening and closing procedures, as well as side jobs as assigned. Proficient in Check 21 procedures including balancing, releasing and research. Interviews, takes applications and gathers information along with processing preliminary documentation on loan requests. Evaluates and verifies loan applications and credit criteria. Computes debt ratios, verifies employment, income and determines value of collateral. Sends information to underwrite for approval. Requests additional information if required. Coordinates and processes loan closings. Ensures that each loan is promptly and properly prepared, documented, processed, approved and disbursed. Ensures that lending operations are conducted in accordance with established OURCU policies and procedures and are legally compliant. Maintains privacy of member account information and ensures that OURCU's quality reputation is maintained and projected.
- Assists area personnel as required. Provides guidance to MSR 1. Assists with training or orientation as needed. Keeps supervisor informed of area activities and of any significant problems or concerns. Completes required reports and records accurately and promptly, and attends meetings as required. Assumes responsibility of stepping into the Branch Supervisors or* Managers (dependent upon management structure at location of particular branch) when the Branch Manager or Supervisor is out of the office.
If applicable, incumbent will also be responsible for performing drive-up teller and night drop functions as assigned. Ensures that work area is clean, secure and well-maintained. Performs clerical and other duties as assigned.

4. Teller functions are efficiently, effectively and accurately performed in accordance with established policies, standards and security procedures.
5. Monies are balanced, and any discrepancies are promptly resolved. Maintains a balancing record that meets established standards.
6. Good business relationships are fostered and maintained with members. Member issues and/or questions are courteously and promptly resolved.
7. Assistance is provided to other MFS and staff as needed. Supervisors are appropriately informed of area activities.
8. Attends all required trainings and meetings.
9. Maintains the confidentiality of all member and employee information.
10. Ensures OURCU's Mission Statement, Core Values, Moments of Truth and Service Standards are adhered to.
11. Responsible for ensuring compliance with OURCU's policies and procedures. Required to attend necessary compliance training.

Two to five years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.
Education/Certifications/Licenses:High school degree or GED required.
Interpersonal Skills:Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy are essential elements of the job. Work involves personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization, generally regarding routine matters for purposes of giving and obtaining information, as well as advising or referring, which commonly require shorter discussions.

Physical Requirements:
Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
Working Conditions:
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work environment with moderate noise.
Mental and/or Emotional Requirements:
Must be able to perform job functions independently and with limited supervision. Must work effectively as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence.
