We’re looking for a detail-oriented, customer-focused Operations Associate to join our team at Austin Capital Bank. In this role, you’ll handle a variety of banking tasks, from processing deposits and withdrawals to managing new accounts and assisting with operational projects. You’ll play a key part in ensuring smooth daily operations, supporting our customers, and contributing to the overall success of the bank.

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Processing deposits, withdrawals, transfers, and loan payments.
- Sale of cashier’s checks.
- Places holds on accounts.
- Counts, checks and packages coins and currency.
- Balances cash drawer at the end of the shift and compares totaled amounts to computer-generated proof sheet. Reports any discrepancies to the supervisor as necessary.
- Ensures teller station is properly stocked with forms, supplies, etc.
- Responsible for checking night depository bags and recording proper information on the financial institution’s forms.
- Promote and maintain positive relations with all contacts, customers, and potential customers.
- Comply with all department and company policies and procedures.
- Contribute to the fulfillment of department and company objectives and goals.
- Perform as a team member in allocating and coordinating the workflow.
- May train new employees and answer co-worker questions.
- Will be involved in ordering, receiving verifying, and distributing cash.
- May be responsible for bank opening/closing.
- Opens new accounts.
- Makes concentrated effort to solve customer issues.
- Operational tasks as assigned.
- Review daily reports.
- Assist with daily balancing of General Ledger accounts as necessary.
- Answer and route phone calls to appropriate staff.
- Restock various office supplies.
- Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Support various departments with operational tasks if necessary.
- Willingness to adapt to new company objectives.
Required Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge

- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two or more years of experience as a teller or in new accounts in a banking environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Good understanding of financial products and services
- Good organizational skills
- Above average skills and knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, & Outlook
- Knowledge of the Jack Henry core, Silverlake, is preferred, but not required.
