Job Summary:
The Branch Operations Manager oversees office activities, production, and facility management for the branch operations . This is a salaried position with the potential for an annual bonus based on branch/area profitability and other key productivity metrics (KPI).
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for handling quotes and orders for outside salespeople and customers.
- Maintains on-time quote and order acknowledgment response time.
- Periodically meets with and manages vendors/suppliers.
- Product sourcing responsibilities
- Responsible for occasional local customer visits and ride-along with outside sales team (varies depending on branch needs)
- Works with branch belt shop leader/manager to optimize shop production.
- Assists with scheduling installations.
- Optimizes shop fabrication and workflows.
- Oversees shop supply orders and approve.
- Reviews inventory levels
- Responsible for initiating (in cases doing the ordering) inventory re-orders.
- Understanding of all shop processes; including shipping, receiving, fabrication, etc.
- Strong understanding of all shop equipment and know how to operate it.
- Shop equipment maintenance scheduling and maintenance programs
- Manages inside salespeople (AM) inside the branches of responsibility. Maintains expected on-time quote and order acknowledgment response time.
- Manages shop employees: Belt Shop Manager, Belt Shop Techs, Shipping/Receiving
- Manages and approves work and PTO schedules for branch hourly employees.
- Verifies branch hourly employee timecards.
- Oversees repairs/upgrades to branch physical structure and facilities for branch.
- Responsible for maintaining facility IT equipment, computer system and phone system.
- Schedules and coordinates outside contractors needing access to the branch.
- Becomes branch single point of contact for intercompany branch communication.
- Communicates all branch activities to supervisor.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- High School graduation, College Degree preferred.
- Experience within the Industrial Distribution segment
- Prior Leadership and or management experience preferred.
- Organization and prioritization skills; attention to detail
- Highly responsive to and respectful of customer needs
- Attention to detail and observant in discussions with customers.
- Strong communication skills written and verbal.
- Cold call in person and over the phone with ease
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
- Competency in the ERP system
- Ability to lift, up to 50 pounds.
- After normal hours and weekend work may be required
- Overnight travel
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass a drug screen, and background check.

Physical Demands:
The Branch Operations Manager may lift and / or move up to 50 pounds and will require manual dexterity and strength in arms and feet to manipulate equipment controls. Tools, and other items used to make adjustments and/or minor maintenance. Will use hands, arms, back, and shoulders to handle, installs, position, move items, and manipulate other objects. Could be in a sitting, standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting position for long periods of time.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this position, the Branch Operations Manager will be regularly exposed to working near moving and mechanical parts and equipment. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position in a shop and at the customer site. Typical workdays and hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Frequent overtime hours and weekend work may be required.
Pay Range: $89,000 - $110,000 a year
