Bravo Shift Team Leader
Our client, a premier manufacturer of weapon systems and accessories, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Team Leader to join their dynamic production team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team of motivated individuals in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate commitment to and leadership of environmental health and safety principles, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain an effective span of control over a team of 5-9 members.
- Provide support, training, and development to improve safety, 6S, quality, cost, and efficiency.
- Set, monitor, and meet daily production goals and report on metrics.
- Ensure shifts and breaks are managed effectively, engaging the team in meeting production requirements and key performance indicators.
- Lead the team in a production environment and conduct daily safety meetings.
- Implement, audit, and ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Operate within the framework of all applicable operator work instructions, SOPs, quality, and safety procedures.
- Participate in all company-required environmental, health, and safety training events and discussions.
- Perform machining and production processes, providing adequate coverage.
- Collaborate with teams and departments to troubleshoot, prioritize, and solve problems.
- Utilize Lean tools to continuously improve manufacturing processes.
- Contribute to maintaining high standards of integrity, safety, fair treatment, and a positive work environment.
- Perform other responsibilities as deemed necessary by management.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in manufacturing or a related field with 3 years of manufacturing experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 1-2 years of experience in a leadership role, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Proven professionalism and integrity in previous roles.
- Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work proactively with others.
- Excellent time management, attention to detail, and communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or within a team, under deadlines and pressure.
- Experience with FMEA, SPC, Control Plans, 8D, and other quality tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Demonstrated alignment with the company's core values.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Intermittent standing, walking, sitting, and bending throughout the workday.
- Capability to work in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to machinery, noise, chemicals, and lights/lasers.
- Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment as required.
Contract positions
Will be employed and paid hourly by iMPact Business Group. Benefits (medical, dental & vision) are available after 90 days of employment.
Permanent placed employees
Paid by and qualify for benefits in accordance with the policies of the hiring company.
