Job Description:
Breakfast attendants have many duties to perform during a shift. Main duties include setting up and breaking down each morning's breakfast buffet, ensuring buffet items such fruits, breads, cereals, and bakery items remain well-stocked, maintaining the safety and appearance of the buffet area and cleaning the area in preparation for the next day. This may include replenishing silverware, sugar caddies and condiments, light to moderate food preparation, refilling beverage containers, mopping, wiping, and sweeping. The attendant may perform duties similar to those of a restaurant waiter or busboy such as attending to special food orders or needs of the guests, clearing dirty plates from tables, relaying customer needs to the kitchen and providing or refilling drinks. The person in this position must be able to roll their sleeves up and assist our teams when needed, living our “ONE TEAM. ONE VISION.” philosophy. This person must also provide innovative ways that align with our mission to be the best, most respected hotel company in America.

- Complete all required brand specific training
- Complete all required Vision University training
- Complete all required health and safety training
- Adhere to all Vision Hospitality Group and property specific brand standards
- Provide personalized, friendly service to every individual you encounter
- Learn as much as you can by completing all required training
- Prepare breakfast foods and have the dining area/buffet set for the start of service
- Greets guests, answers questions, and accommodates special requests as needed
- Replenish food product throughout the shift as needed
- Examine food products and supplies to ensure quality and quantity
- Restocks bar, replenishes pantry, cleans counters, tables, utensils, and kitchen at the end of shift
- Resets counters and tables at guests’ departure and at end of shifts
- If charged breakfast is used, compute bill, accepts payment, and track sales receipts
- Manage the presentation of tableware so that it is accessible for the guests
- Monitor cleanliness and proper sanitization of tables, stations, and service areas
- Obtain feedback, and effectively resolve customer problems and complaints
- Provide assistance when needed to your fellow team, guests, and other departments
- Perform any other duties as requested by leadership to aid in better operation of the property and service to the guests
Necessary Skills:
- Keep confidential the business functions of the company including, but not limited to, financial status, customer/guest information, associate issues, etc.
- Must be responsible for safety and security of guests, fellow associates, and hotel assets
- Have knowledge of fire alarm system and evacuation procedures.
- Have dependable transportation available
- Able to communicate effectively in writing, verbally, and in person
- Able to work a flexible schedule. We are a 24/7 business which may require work availability of nights, weekends, and holidays
- Is organized, honest, works well with others, and has an outgoing personality
- Maintain a clean and attractive work area, uniform, and person

- Be able to bend, reach, kneel, push, and stretch and lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds
- Can stand/walk on feet for 8 hours and work in a restrictive space/environment
- Must have eyesight enabling vision both near and far
- Must be comfortable using a step stool or ladder
- Must be able to use/lift arms for up to 8 hours
- Must be able to handle heat and stress
- Have finger dexterity for operating equipment
- Must speak in a clear, understandable voice, hear at a basic level, and understand English
- Must be able to write
