Job Summary:
The Line Cook is responsible for executing recipes under the supervision of a chef, preparing dishes and portion food products prior to cooking. They will also perform other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating and garnishing of cooked items and preparing appropriate garnishes for all menu items.

The Line Cook is responsible for executing recipes under the supervision of a chef, preparing dishes and portion food products prior to cooking. They will also perform other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation including plating and garnishing of cooked items and preparing appropriate garnishes for all menu items.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Knows and complies with restaurant portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen policies and procedures
- Follows proper plate presentation and garnish set up for all dishes
- Ensures food is stored and cooked at correct temperatures by regulating temperatures of ovens, broilers, grills, fryers, roasters and other kitchen equipment
- Inspects and maintains food preparation areas such as equipment and work surfaces or serving areas
- Maintains organization of kitchen, walk-in coolers and storage areas
- Bakes, roasts, broils and steams meats, fish, vegetables and other foods to restaurant standards
- Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Basic knife skills
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Self-sufficient work ethic
Education and Experience:
- Food safety knowledge
- More than one year of experience in a professional kitchen preferred
- Has breakfast experience with eggs, omelets, etc.
- Experience in a fast-paced environment
- ** This position will be on the weekends for Brunch and 2 nights during the week **
Physical Requirements:
- Able to carry up to 30lbs at times
- Able to stand for long periods of time in wide ranging of temperatures
- Must be able to access and navigate all areas of the facility
