The clinical team is well supported by pathologists and radiologists, many of whom are fellowship trained as well as by reconstructive surgeons, a mature genetic counselling program and an active nurse navigator program. Formal programs in survivorship, high risk care, patient education and breast rehabilitation services are in development. The hospital has active clinical trial and health disparities research programs and is a main member of SWOG and NRG. Hartford Hospital is the largest teaching hospital in the University of Connecticut medical school system with medical residents and oncology fellows in training.

The Hartford HealthCare Breast Disease Management Team (DMT) is a multi-disciplinary group with governance over quality, research and innovative program development in breast cancer across the healthcare system. The Breast DMT works closely and collaboratively with its MSK counterpart.
