Brewer at Triptych Brewing Company

Triptych Brewing is hiring a brewer to join our team and assist in the production of our beer. This position offers growth opportunities within our production team. Applicants must have prior professional experience in the brewing industry with the ability to operate in both brewing and cellar environments.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Prior professional brewing experience, with knowledge of both hot-side and cold-side operations
• Experience with and/or willingness to learn the operation of our semi-automated brewhouse, canning line, keg washer and other equipment as needed
• A deep passion for craft beer and the brewing process, including a drive to maintain and improve high-quality standards
• The ability to work in physically demanding conditions (lifting up to 55 pounds overhead, standing for long periods, and working in both hot and cold environments)
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills in a fast-paced production environment.
• A flexible schedule that may include some weekends or evenings
• A basic familiarity with computers and the internet to allow for interactions with our production/inventory management software
• An extreme attention to detail

Key Responsibilities:

• Operating our semi-automated 15-barrel brewhouse to produce wort according to established recipes
• Managing cellar tasks including transfers, dry-hopping, yeast handling, and monitoring fermentation
• Performing CIP (Clean-in-Place) processes on brewhouse vessels, fermenters, brite tanks and other equipment
• Operating and maintaining our automated canning line and assisting with keg packaging
• Ensuring all brewing and packaging operations meet quality standards using sensory evaluation and analytical measurements
• Accurately recording production data, including batch details and inventory tracking
• Following and improving upon standard operating procedures (SOPs) for brewing, cellar and packaging processes
• Assisting with general brewery maintenance, cleaning, and organization to ensure a safe and efficient working environment
• Adhering to safety protocols and contributing to ongoing operational improvements.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive, negotiable hourly wage, based on experience (this is a non-exempt position with no direct reports, every hour worked will be compensated)
