Ciena will be hiring two Broadband Strategic Solutions Sales Consultants based in the United States.
One position can be remote based on the East Coast
One position can be remote based on the West Coast
Responsibilities
• Establish trusted relationships with key customers & account teams.
• Identify & drive new customer engagements that increase Ciena's market share and drive long-term growth for Broadbandsolutions acrossLast Mile & Middle Mile networks.
• Build & implement engagement plans for assigned targets that best position Ciena to maximize its Broadband orders & revenue in accordance with company expectations.
• Maintain industry knowledge of the competitive Broadband landscape.
General Activities
• Position and sell Broadband solutions which influence and/or support customer business strategies across CPE, Access, Edge and Metro networks.
• Travel (or engage virtually) a significant amount of time in the US and/or Canada to build customer relationships needed to execute business initiatives.
• Serve as a technical sales lead for Broadband networking solutions providing guidance to account / territory sales teams in order to achieve business objectives.
• Identify, consolidate & prioritize Broadband feature requests for strategic opportunities while ensuring follow-up on innovations needed to drive progress/success.
Collaboration with stakeholders
• Work collaboratively in cross-functional teams to build winning sales, product, engineering, marketing and partner strategies.
• Provide strategic guidance to PLM, Sales, Marketing and other stakeholders to help focus sales efforts for optimal outcomes based on analysis of customer's technical requirements and business goals.
• Collaborate, partner and leverage all stakeholders including Broadband Global Alliance Partners & Broadband Engineering Firms & Consultants to drive long-term growth.
Areas of impact
• Role will be focused on assigned accounts / territories that span across prominent or emerging service providers focused on rural Broadband markets.
• Role will supplement the efforts of existing field sales & strategic solution sales initiatives.
Experience
• Greater than 10 years of Broadband solution sales customer-facing experience, on a sales account team, in a customer-facing roll.
• Proven success and strong track record of winning Broadband solution sales across multiple customers and market verticals.
• Self-starter, capable of "owning" assigned targets and involving other sales & sales management for necessary issues. Results-oriented, confident, excellent organization skills, motivated with honesty / integrity / ethics and having a sense of humor.
• Excellent presentation skills. Highly effective communication skills (verbal and written) when interacting with both technical and non-technical customers.
• Strong business and technical acumen. Strong problem solving and organization skills. Creative and innovative in approach to complex solution sales and deal structure.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain executive relationships (internally and with customers).
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent years of experience.
The annual total target compensation pay range for this position is $218,600 - $361,100. This includes both base and incentive compensation. (For Sales roles that are TTC in the Salary Range Tool)
Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.
Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission.
