Position Overview:
As part of the talented Manufacturing Engineer team, you will leads execution of new product integration from a manufacturing and operations perspective. Responsible for taking concept and design validation builds into production through a standardized integration and development build process.

+ Drive DFAM initiatives through the new product cycle by being an active member in boat design, design reviews, leading VOC activities with operations, and creating/documenting best practices at the NYM facility.
+ Manage and complete manufacturing engineering deliverables for HPPD project launch.
+ Lead pre-production builds through the design validation, process intent builds, and process verification builds.
+ Responsible for PFEP planning of new internal and external part numbers related to a project.
+ Manage a process technician and guide documentation of all standard work related to the release of new product.
+ Investigate, design, and/or procure capital equipment & tooling related to manufacturing of a new product in assembly, weld, paint, or finishing departments
+ Actively participate in cross functional team with design engineering and quality assurance to identify risks in mfg. process and implement controls to mitigate using tools such as PFMEA and Control Plans to document.
+ Calculate and propose labor distribution by department and sub-assembly for new product.
+ Lead labor balancing activities with sustaining engineering and operations team to integrate new product into existing balances of departments.
+ Lead goal-focused teams, often several different teams simultaneously.
+ Lead integration of new product into the production facility.
+ Performs other related duties as required.
Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or similar B.S. field
+ 5-8 years manufacturing experience in a sustaining role, or 3-5 years in a new product introduction role
+ 3-5 years of project management experience, working with a list of deliverables and demonstrating execution
+ Strong communicator and experience leading cross functional teams
+ 1-3 year minimum direct supervision of hourly staff members

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to high sound levels, welding processes, moving forklifts, elevated loads, and close quarters. The successful candidate will demonstrate a safety mindset to other employees.
