About the Job
Budget Analyst Responsibilities:
. The staff analyst will assist the general project group in engineering and construction administrative budgeting activities to support all facility project managers.
. Gather and review facility specific project information related to budget planning: forecasting annual budgets, budget modifications; expenditures; accruals and assist with process improvements to simplify current ongoing required budget activities.
. Gather information from databases and historical financial data to create and track construction project budgets
. Monitor construction project expenditures and budget variances, and report substantial figures to the appropriate personnel to ensure activities are following spending plans over the life of the project.
. Create additional forecasts of project budgets as needed.
. Prepare budget reports and presentations for design or construction projects. Output includes Excel spreadsheets and PowerPoints.

Budget Analyst Qualifications:
. Bachelor's degree with strong computer, budgetary, and organizational skills
. Proficient in Microsoft office applications (especially word, excel, access)
. Knowledge of budgeting and accounting with a minimum of 2 years professional experience performing budgeting activities, accounting principles, and/or related fields analysis report preparation preferred.
. Experience working for engineering or construction corporations highly preferred.
