About the Job
We are seeking an Builder Sales Rep to join the team of a reputable client. Your most important duty is about creating an nurturing relationships. You will be responsible for increasing the level of personal interface with existing customers and adding new customers. Proven sales strategies, commitment follow-through, and heavy communication are all necessary for success as an Builder Sales Rep. The territory for this position includes Michigan (excluding the upper peninsula), Indiana and Ohio. This position does require travel 3-4 days per week, with 1-2 office days per week. Most travel can be conducted with day trips, but occasional overnight travel (2-3 nights per month) is also required. Company vehicle will be provided and travel expenses will be covered by the company.
Requirements for Builder Sales Rep
- At least 2-4 years of experience in sales
- Experience in selling cabinets and countertops to builders in the SE Michigan market
- Familiarity with different sales techniques
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Excellent organizational skills and consistent follow-up
- Highly developed attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently
- Attend trade shows for the industry
Education
- Business Administration degree or similar is helpful, but not required
