About the Job
Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated, detail-oriented building attendant to join our team at the Rec Plex recreation facilities. In this role, you will play a critical part in maintaining a clean, safe, and functional space for the community to work out, get fit and have fun. You will have the opportunity to be a part of an exciting team that values creativity, customer service, and operational excellence.
Normal shift: 3:30 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. (varies)
This is a second shift position with a rotating schedule including weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide great customer service to the staff and general public
- Provide general cleaning and custodial tasks (emptying trash, cleaning, sanitizing, sweeping, mopping, use of floor equipment, etc.)
- Maintain facilities and equipment in an orderly, clean, safe, and secure manner
- Maintain the overall appearance and cleanliness of the building both prior and post event and ensure that the facility is ready for the next scheduled use.
- Ensure that the building equipment functions properly, and notifying management of maintenance issues.
- Assist in basic repairs using standard hand tools
- Shovel and salt walks during snow and ice conditions
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be a US citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Motor Vehicle Operator's License valid in the state of Missouri
- Fundamental knowledge of janitorial equipment and safe handling of cleaning chemicals
