About the Job
- Educational requirements: High school diploma or GED; 5 to 10 years of experience in property/estate management. Minimum 2-5 years’ experience in building maintenance and/or property management, or equivalent experience preferred. 1-2 years’ experience operating a snowplow preferred; scheduled hours to include weekends and off-times based on the ongoing operating needs of the manufacturing facility. Must be effective at handling maintenance issues, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary. Valid New Hampshire Driver’s License required.
- Reports to: Supply Chain & Facilities Manager.
- Primary job responsibility: Maintain equipment, building, and grounds and supervision and training of any Building and Grounds Assistants.
- Essential functions of position:
- Grounds keeping including but not limited to snow removal, clearing sidewalks of ice and snow and maintaining the lawns and plantings on the grounds surrounding Microspec;
- Supervise and train Building and Grounds Assistants;
- Ability to work independently in the performance of standard Preventive Maintenance (PM) and repair duties on equipment, machinery, facilities;
- Monitor and maintain all building systems as assigned;
- Responsible for alerting management immediately of any unusual occurrence and/or damage that has taken place or may occur;
- Assure applicable safety standards are used which comply with all corporate policies and state and federal regulations;
- Respond to all maintenance issues in a timely fashion making sure issues resolved with high quality outcomes;
- Maintain accurate records of assigned tasks;
- Able to convey information and issues clearly;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and to meet deadlines;
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, and basic computer skills;
- Maintain a professional and courteous manner with all guests, vendors, contractors, and employees;
- On-call availability pertaining to building and/or property maintenance;
- Repairs, performs regular PM’s, and services machinery, furnishings, and other equipment;
- Various facilities maintenance activities including but not limited to painting, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, janitorial housekeeping, landscaping, masonry, metal work, pest control, fabrication, metal and plastic machining, recycling and minor installations;
- Maintenance for truck, mowers, and other miscellaneous equipment;
- Various pick-up and delivery functions as needed for company;
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, Zamboni, and other equipment required to perform tasks;
- Preparation of appropriate documentation;
- General up-keep of the facility; and
- Other activities and duties as assigned.
