Job Overview: O’Malley Ice LLC is seeking a dedicated Building Maintenance Technician to join our team in Anchorage, AK. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facilities, including the Sullivan Arena and other locations. Your expertise will help maintain a welcoming environment for our patrons and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and lighting.
- Repairs: Diagnose and repair issues with equipment and building infrastructure, including walls, ceilings, doors, and fixtures.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance tasks comply with safety regulations and standards, addressing any potential hazards promptly.
- Event Support: Collaborate with event staff to prepare facilities for various activities, ensuring that all spaces are ready and functional.
- Facility Upkeep: Maintain the overall cleanliness and appearance of the facilities, including exterior grounds and parking areas.
- Inventory Management: Track and manage maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring that necessary tools and materials are available when needed.
- Emergency Response: Be available for emergency repairs and maintenance tasks as needed, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in building maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
- Basic troubleshooting and repair skills, with the ability to work with hand tools and power equipment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating strong communication skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if required.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
