POSITION TITLE: BUSINESS ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
STATUS: NON-EXEMPT (Full-Time) 30-35 hours per week.
COMPENSATION: $20 per hour.
GENERAL STATEMENT :

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
+ High School Diploma or Equivalent.Basic Knowledge of The Salvation Army Structure and Procedures.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
+ Demonstrate thoroughness and attention to detail in all tasks.
+ Self-starter.
+ Strong use of the English language in verbal and written communication.
+ Excellent telephone skills.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain poise under pressure.
+ Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse array of clients, donors, vendors, and program partners
+ Basic knowledge of business protocols.
+ Ability and willingness to keep ALL information confidential.
+ CPR & First Aid.
+ Must have a valid Washington StateDriver'ss License and the ability to pass TSA guidelines, including the ability to pass TSA background checks.
SOFTWARE RELATED SKILLS
+ Proficient in basic office and computer skills, including the ability to track information quickly and accurately using the appropriate system (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, scanner, phone, email, etc.)
+ Specific knowledge, with training, of multiple internal databases (WellSky, TSAMM, HMIS, AP, Ultipro, Shared budgets, etc.)
SCOPE OF POSITION :
+ This person will be responsible for providing necessary Business administrative support for the Corps Officer to efficiently run the Corps while also being a team player to assist with needed tasks assigned by the Corps Officer. The Business Administrative Assistant will provide support with the food pantry and minor Social Service tasks as needed, such as being the friendly face to assist clients with resources.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Act as the HR contact for the corps when the Corps Officer is not available.
+ Assist fills out, submitting, and maintaining all HR paperwork as requested or needed.
+ Assist with maintaining updated contact information for corps with all agencies and assist with generating reports as needed.
+ Sort, process, and record all income mail and bills.
+ Assist with process and recording church offerings.
+ Process all income checks and send them to CDS.
+ Main supply inventory and order replacement supplies as necessary.
+ Act as a point of contact and collect all paperwork on community service workers.
+ Attend all staff meetings and TSA events as requested by the Corps Officer.
+ Other related duties assigned by the Corps Officer.
+ Assist Corps Officer in cleaning when another staff is on break/vacation or not available.
ADDITIONAL HOLIDAY DUTIES :
+ Assist with holiday client intake.
+ Assist with preparing holiday applications.
+ Assist Corps Officer with writing letters to Donors and Vendors.
+ Assist with hiring and training of Bell Ringers.
+ Assist with processing Christmas income, including picking up and counting kettles.
+ Assist with compiling information and filling out all Christmas reports for Officers, DHQ THQ, and outside.
+ Other Christmas assistance as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:
+ Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous
+ Ability to grasp, push, and pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers and reach
+ Ability to operate a desktop or laptop
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (usually file boxes)
+ Ability to access and produce information from files.

Health Insurance: Low bi-weekly premiums ($34.62) for employee only coverage, Kaiser HMO for those residing in a Kaiser service area, Anthem EPO/PPO is available for those residing outside of a Kaiser service area. Voluntary +1 and +family coverage at additional cost. Delta Dental DHMO and DPPO dental insurance offered starting at $2.31 bi-weekly cost. Retirement Plans: Employer-funded Money Purchase Pension Plan (Defined Contribution Plan) 50% vested at 5 years eligible service time, employee funded voluntary 403(b) options
Parental Leave: Benefit will be one week (5 business days) of paid leave at theemployee'ss normal rate of pay for births, adoptions and foster placements.
Sick Leave: 12 days annually accruing from day one, eligible for use after 3months'' service time.
Paid Vacation: 2 weeks annually accruing from day one, for non-exempt positions. 4 weeks annually accruing from day one, for exempt positions. Accrued vacation is eligible for use after 6months'' service time.
Paid Holidays: 13 designated holidays + 1 floating holiday per year.
The Salvation Army will comply with all governmental orders and any contractual obligations relative to COVID-19 safety measures, including mandatory vaccination of staff, if required.
