Job Description:
Support of the fiscal, budgetary, and accounting operations for AMD. Plans, organizes, develops, maintains, and coordinates the development and implementation of fiscal operations, processes, policies and procedures for the MN program.
Support development of the annual agency’s MN budget and reviews statewide expenditure and spend plan data. Will perform monthly program/project expense analysis and assist with the review and analysis of MN expenditures and budgets. Will be responsible for supporting executive decision making and presenting the financial aspects of projects to senior management. Requires understanding budgeting and accounting with the ability to analyze complex business problems and recommend solutions.
Participate in the development and maintenance of performance metrics, measurements, methods, and targets to promote financial accountability, and assist in identifying performance improvement opportunities.
Provide good customer service to internal team members & external customers, comprehensive analytical skills (Excel, MS Word), being an effective communicator, as well as being self-motivated and showing initiative while accomplishing the task at hand.
Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on contract-related matters to ensure compliance with contract requirements, monitoring contractor performance and payment, resolved disputes and contractual issues, develop and manage relationships with external contractors and organize and manage contractual documents.

- 5 years - Extensive experience in the use of the computers and software (Microsoft 365) applications. Excel pivot tables, complex spreadsheets, etc.
- 5 years - Extensive experience in financial analysis and forecasting
- 5 years - Customer service to broad audiences, professionals, vendors, team members and executive staff
- General knowledge of accounting practives and financial management
- 3 years - Experience in performance metrics, measurements, methods and targets to promote financial accountablility
- 1 year - Commonwealth of VA financial knowledge and applied experience
- 1 year - Experience with Cardinal Financial system
