Job Summary
Provide market, financial and utility industry analysis for developing business unit strategic initiatives. Benchmark the applicable business unit's organizational performance with both non-utility and utility organizations. Provide data to monitor the competitiveness of the applicable business unit and offer solutions to improve the business unit organization's efficiency. Work closely with the business unit management to analyze industry trends and best practices. Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the business unit organization, and with internal and external customers. This work will be completed under close supervision.
Job Description
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
+ Analyze and investigate internal and external market conditions and prepare reports to support recommendations on trends, best practices etc.
+ Identify potential savings opportunities and develop supporting business cases and alternatives to recognize those savings.
+ Coordinate the communication of relevant data with the appropriate business unit and also with the other business unit and external contacts.
+ Develop reports and perform periodic studies necessary to analyze the business units strategic goals to maximize the efficiency of the organization.
+ Maintain, interpret and analyze pertinent data and make presentations to internal and external customers.
+ Analyze and review business unit contracts/work to assure adherence to contract/work standards and agreements.
Minimum Requirements below are for a SG 04 Business Analyst Associate ($51,459.00-64,323.50 USD) :
+ Bachelor's Degree in Business, Statistics, Finance or related field of study with no work experience
+ or Associated Degree in Business, Statistics, Finance or related field of study and two years of business analyst experience which would include benchmarking and creation of business case scenarios.
Minimum Requirements below are for a SG 05 Business Analyst
($60,438.00-75,546.50 USD) :
+ Bachelors degree in Business, Statistics, Finance or related field and a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst Associate or 2 years of business case creation, business analysis and benchmarking.
+ or Associates degree in Business, Statistics, Finance or related field and minimum of 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst Associate or business case creation, business analysis and benchmarking.
Minimum Requirements below are for a SG 06 Business Analyst Sr. ($70,961 - $88,700.50) :
+ Bachelors degree in Business, Statistics, Finance or related field and a minimum of 4 years of experience as a Business Analyst or 4 years of business case creation, business analysis and benchmarking.
+ or Associates degree in Business, Statistics, Finance or related field and minimum of 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst or business case creation, business analysis and benchmarking.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Physical demand level is Sedentary
This position is designated as "remote" however the successful candidate must live within the service territory and within a short driving distance to the office for regular onsite meetings.

$51,459.00-64,324.00 USD
Candidates will be considered based on their qualifications and the candidate’s ability to work from an approved work location. Although the location is flexible, AEP does not have a presence in all states and localities. The following locations are NOT currently approved for this position: AK, CA, CO, CT, DE, HI, IA, ID, KS, MA, ME, MS, MT, ND, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OR, RI, SD, UT, VT, WY, US Territories or international work locations. AEP will consider qualified candidates who are willing to relocate to an approved work location, at the candidate’s expense, provided the relocation can be completed within a timeframe that meets AEP’s staffing needs. NOTE: All remote work locations require vetting and final approval prior to offer and/or start date.
