Our client in Valley Village, CA is actively seeking a Business Analyst to join their BI team on a contract basis. Candidates will be required to work a hybrid schedule with onsite at least 2-3 days a weeks to either their Valley Village or Santa Monica location. Prior experience in working with media & entertainment studios is a plus!

Summary
Business Analyst (BA) supporting Business Intelligence projects across the enterprise with a focus in analysis, requirement gathering, project management support, testing, and documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Business analysis / Project Management support
- Gather, document, and analyze business requirements
- Stakeholder management: facilitate meetings, feedback, and consensus to drive projects forward
- Assist in managing project tracking tools (i.e. Jira)
- Documentation: requirement specs, stories/tasks (Jira), diagramming/process flows, etc.
- Testing: assist in QA and reviewing of testing results to work with the team and stakeholders to resolve issues
- Functions as the Subject Matter Expert on enterprise data solutions.
- Provides user training
- Ensure data quality across analytical applications
- Provide support for BI environments (i.e. access configuration)
Experience & Skills:
- Prior experience either developing analytic &/or data solutions or have served as BA in this space
- Understanding of SQL & knowledge of database systems and supporting services (i.e. data access, ETL processes, data modeling, etc.)
- Functional knowledge of Tableau and/or PowerBI
Additional skills preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited institution in Information Systems, Business, Computer Science, Statistics or Engineering
- Entertainment industry experience
- Rights Management/Intellectual Property Management experience
