Job Description:
This position's focus will be for a Senior Business Analyst role for a new trading and portfolio management platform. The program implementation is large and complex and will span multiple years with the contract role potentially going 18 months for the right candidate.
The candidate will be responsible for gathering requirements and producing written specifications for new and existing Investment Trading systems. The position will assist management in ensuring that all systems are compliant with all corporate standards, follow the change management process, and that all projects and/or applications will pass any technical audit. The role collaborates with other technical areas/teams to integrate across tiers, platforms, and responsibilities. Will be required to communicate and interact with various levels of business leaders to define and understand requirements.
In this role, you will be recognized as an expert and visionary in providing strategic business solutions to enterprise-wide technology initiatives.
Responsibilities:
• Provides technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing systems and procedures that are cost effective and meet business requirements.
• Applies knowledge of industry trends and technology to drive organizational change and position Wells Fargo for the future.
• Works with user groups to provide training, resolve questions, assess user needs, and recommend changes.
• Works with business partners to take higher level stories and decompose into technical stories for development teams – this will include detailed mapping from 1 system to another
Required Qualifications
• 10+ years of experience in business systems analysis or design
Desired Qualifications
• 5+ years of investment industry experience
• Knowledge and understanding of requirements and design deliverables creation
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements
• Knowledge and understanding of SQL
• Microsoft Visio experience
• Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
• Knowledge and understanding of Agile
• Highly refined and professional verbal and written communications
• Solid problem solving skills
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Other Desired Qualifications
• 3+ years in Enterprise-grade Investment Decision Support, Investment Modeling, or Trading Systems
• 10 years' experience working with software development teams
• Trade Platform Integrations experience
• Trade lifecycle comprehension:
• Experience with trade order management user experience is a plus
• Trade / Data flow knowledge
• Back office knowledge
• Experience with Custody Platforms and associated operations is a plus
• Deep experience with customization of Charles River Development platform is strongly desired
• Experience performing Data Mapping and/or Development is a plus
• Experience with enterprise messaging tools and transformation (such as Solace, Virtual Data Power, MQ Series, etc.)
• Experience with Quality Center / Test Director / ALM is a plus
• Bachelor degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or Finance or related discipline
• MBA or advanced degree is a plus
