Position Overview:
The Business Analyst will support fiscal, budgetary, and accounting processes for a program, assisting in budget development, expenditure analysis, and executive financial decision-making. This role involves tracking performance metrics, promoting financial accountability, and providing guidance on contract compliance and contractor relationships to ensure operational efficiency.

Position Overview:
The Business Analyst will support fiscal, budgetary, and accounting processes for a program, assisting in budget development, expenditure analysis, and executive financial decision-making. This role involves tracking performance metrics, promoting financial accountability, and providing guidance on contract compliance and contractor relationships to ensure operational efficiency.
Duties:
- Support of the fiscal, budgetary, and accounting operations.
- Plans, organizes, develops, maintains, and coordinates the development and implementation of fiscal operations, processes, policies and procedures for a program.
- Support development of the annual agency’s budget and reviews expenditure and spend plan data.
- Perform monthly program/project expense analysis and assist with the review and analysis of expenditures and budgets.
- Responsible for supporting executive decision making and presenting the financial aspects of projects to senior management.
- Requires understanding budgeting and accounting with the ability to analyze complex business problems and recommend solutions.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of performance metrics, measurements, methods, and targets to promote financial accountability, and assist in identifying performance improvement opportunities.
- Provide good customer service to internal team members & external customers, comprehensive analytical skills (Excel, MS Word), being an effective communicator, as well as being self-motivated and showing initiative while accomplishing the task at hand.
- Provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on contract-related matters to ensure compliance with contract requirements, monitoring contractor performance and payment, resolved disputes and contractual issues, develop and manage relationships with external contractors and organize and manage contractual documents.
- 5 years of extensive experience in the use of the computers and software (Microsoft 365) applications. Excel pivot tables, complex spreadsheets, etc.
- 5 years of experience in financial analysis and forecasting and forecasting
- 5 years of experience with customer service to broad audiences, professionals, vendors, team members and executive staff
- 5 years of general knowledge of accounting practices and financial management
- 3 years of experience in performance metrics, measurements, methods and targets to promote financial accountability
- 1 year of experience with Cardinal Financial system
